SGV Surf would like to congratulate one of our own! Peyton “PJ” Dyer has committed on scholarship to Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina Kansas. PJ has been playing at all levels and positions in soccer since the age of 5. She currently plays not only for SGV Surf, but also is a member of the Upland High School soccer program. After visiting KWU, meeting with players and staff, and looking at the academic programs available, she was delighted to commit to the University.
Kat Benton, Head Women’s Soccer Coach, Kansas Wesleyan University, had this to say about PJ:
“PJ is a player early on in the recruiting process we knew was special. She’s the student-athlete who has exemplary character, an excellent academic record, and an impressive athletic resume.
As a soccer player she already possesses a maturity usually developed in the college game, can play multiple positions, and is up to the task to carry a team late in the game. Her soccer IQ, technical tools, and tactical knowledge of the game make her an immediate threat to opposition.
For KWU, we know we beat several quality programs to get her signature, and we cannot wait for PJ to come and integrate with our culture, our pack, and Coach Yadi and myself expect an immediate impact from her at KWU.”
We are very proud of you, PJ. Wishing you the best in your future!
